Interactive TV, Jack! Wave of the future - Dennis Hopper as Howard Payne, Speed 1994

I wish I could be called a San Francisco native, but even though I was born here and live in SF now, I don’t consider myself a native since I really grew up about 25 minutes south of San Francisco in the burb of Millbrae.    I’ve bounced all over the peninsula living in South San Francisco, Millbrae, San Mateo, Redwood City, East Palo Alto and Portola Valley.   I’ve really made San Francisco my home though in recent year.

My career has mainly been as a software engineer in either the web or for the last 7 years in interactive television.   I’ve deployed Interactive Television Apps on the Worldgate, Wink, Cablevision, and TVWorks Interactive Television systems.  I’ve also developed a “two-screen” system for creating program synchronous Flash games.   Currently I mostly manage a development team and work as a Senior Engineering Manager at TVWorks a Joint Venture between Comcast and Cox in Mill Valley (technically I’m a Comcast employee).

I’m currently wrapping up a Masters of Business Administration at SF State and I’m engaged to get married to the best woman I know.
