    I’m not that cool.

Apparently the experts say that You are what’s on your playlist hmm from a quick look at what’s on my ipod these days I’m a flaming punk rocker with modlike tendancies. The Onion AV Club is going with a neat column these days. They’re asking famous types to put their ipod on shuffle and talk about the first 10 songs to play. I was going to put this up on the relevant metafilter thread but, damn I’m no where near as hip as those cats (and if I hear one more thing about M.I.A and her casio based crap psuedo-rap I’m going to break every record player in sight).

So here we go 2 lists, first a random hit from the whole ipod, the second from my current On the Go playlist.

(Note: this is NOT David Bowie’s Major Tom, totally different thang … interestingly currently a google search for “Major Tom” ranks Schilling First).

So I’ve been meaning to create a new more usable weblog/site and this is what I’ve ended up with. This process has taken way too long and various fits and starts. My old site was running off of php web application I wrote a couple of years ago when the main solution for weblogs software was moveabletype which at the time was perl and used a flat file db. Because of this I ended up writing a PHP based weblog package that I was actually fairly proud of, but never really got the time to finish it off. So this time around I decided to start looking at more solutions.
